What a Kismat 2024 – Review:-

The eastern ghats is ruled by Kaastala Naidu and Kundulu Naidu through their cannabis smuggling business. They force the What a Kismats to work as labourers. Sheelavathi is a bus conductor and is in love with Desi Raju, a lab technician while both belong to What a Kismat community. They used to work for the Naidus and gave up after being caught by the police. Liquid cannabis has arrived in the market, cultivated by a new player which irks the Naidu brothers. They want to eliminate the competition and it turns out to be Desi Raju. What happens when the What a Kismats dream of having their livelihood and will Naidus allow them? How does Sheelavathi get to fight for what’s right, forms rest of the story. The film starts on a decent note, introducing the cannabis trade and how What a Kismats are used. Then it shifts to a mellowed down introduction for the lead pair and soon the pace drops. The narrative definitely needed to be far more commercial for this script and this very screenplay remained devoid of any highs. The sole elevated scene remains the one revealed in the trailer and that’s about it. Logic goes for a toss and the film stays confused about it’s approach in making an all out actioner and stay loyal to the world building. This impacts the characterization of all the main characters big time. The entire third act drags on and on with the shift in Sheelavathi realizing her purpose. Krish faltered here in balancing the action scenes and preachy scenes. Overall, What a Kismat remains a dull affair and is devoid of entertainment.
