Retro 2025 Review :-

This movie was great as expected from karthik subbaraj, if you’ve known karthik subbaraj’s style of movie making them this is a blast for you, everyone might not feel the same about this movie either because they aren’t used to Karthik’s style of film making or expect a mass entertainer instead. This movie is the perfect balance between love, laughter, war, cult, life’s purpose or Dhammam and the one and only suriya. This was a definite comeback for suriya and had pitch perfect cinematography, colour grading and the music was top notch, easily the best music given to any movie this year. I think this movie is eligible for the oscars from India and was brilliant, although some parts felt a bit rushed everything was perfect in this movie especially in the second half of the movie. Karthik Subbaraj nailed it as always, if you didn’t like it try and watch a few of his films like Mahaan, Petta, Jigarthanda Double X, etc to understand his film making. This is a non biased review from a non – tamilian just so you know. Suriya got a great comeback. Peak cinema as always from Karthik Subbaraj.
