Welcome back to the cinematic equivalent of eating candy for breakfast – Housefull 5! If you walked into the theatre expecting logic, Shakespearean drama, or even basic continuity, congratulations, you must be new here. This franchise never promised sense – only nonsense, and this time, it delivers like a hyperactive Amazon drone on Red Bull.

Director Tarun Mansukhani has taken the Housefull baton and sprinted straight into a tornado of chaos. And guess what? That’s exactly what makes this a guilty pleasure. The plot? Think of it as a tangled pair of headphones – you don’t really know where it starts or ends, but you’re too committed to untangling it now.

Akshay Kumar continues to prove that his spine is made of rubber and his sense of comic timing was forged in the fires of pure lunacy. Riteish Deshmukh is the MVP of facial expressions, and Abhishek Bachchan plays “confused rich guy with rich confusion” so well, you’d think he wrote the dictionary entry for it. Fardeen Khan returns like a phoenix from the early 2000s, and Dino Morea is… also there, looking good and confused – which is half the job. Let’s not forget the glorious cameos! Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Nana Patekar appear with enough swag to start a fashion line. Are they given good lines? No. Are they still a hoot to watch? Absolutely. These legends show up like uncles at a wedding who’ve been told there’s free whiskey and a chance to dance to Munni Badnaam. The women in the film? Well, let’s be honest – the writers didn’t exactly do them favors. But if you’re in the market for glitter, high heels, and hair flips in slow motion every 5 minutes, your wish is granted.
