Plot: Prakash, a loving father and dutiful son, juggles taking care of his two kids, elderly parents, and a low-paying job at a small-town hotel. His dream of a promotion crumbles when the hotel shuts down due to financial woes. Torn between responsibility and his children’s needs, Prakash gets a life-changing offer – a well-paying job in Mumbai. While this means a better life for his family, it also signifies leaving them behind. Prakash’s children, witnessing other kids in similar situations, hatch a plan. They believe that a “bad” town is the reason their fathers have to leave. United with other children, they embark on a mission to clean up the town and make it a better place, hoping their fathers won’t have to leave. Their efforts gain traction on social media. On the day of his departure, Prakash leaves before his children wake up, heartbroken at the thought of leaving them. Realizing their mistake, the children, along with their grandparents, chase after him. A tearful reunion ensues at the train station, leading Prakash to pull the emergency chain and return home with his family. The movie takes a heartwarming turn when Prakash receives a call from his boss. Impressed by the town’s efforts, the hotel will reopen, and Prakash is offered the manager position. Tikdam is a story about sacrifice, family, and the power of community. It highlights the struggles of small towns and the unwavering love between a father and his children. The film celebrates the spirit of unity and shows how even the smallest efforts can lead to big changes.
